Located just outside Cincinnati Ohio, Powerex is a manufacturer of air compressor and vacuum systems specializing in clean air technology. A joint venture company between Campbell Hausfeld and Anest Iwata. Powerex introduced oilless scroll compressor technology to the US market. Currently our growing company has a need for a Quality Engineer. Assignments will include projects to accumulate and analyze quality data from production and from the field. Initiate, investigate and complete projects that resolve quality and field problems. Design and implement quality plans for new products and methods in the manufacturing environment.                                                                                                  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  * Perform basic quality functions for Powerex, including tracking defective incoming material and generating return documents, tracking warranty and return products issues and providing statistical data analysis.* Investigate, implement and co-ordinate the actions required to resolve manufacturing quality issues, process design problems and product design problems.* Together with senior department members, plan and execute projects to establish certifications on new products to meet relevant codes and standards.* Co-ordinate with customer service to investigate and resolve complex field problems including those generating product returns. Investigate and implement solutions for quality issues that generate returns and service calls.* Using input from the product engineering staff, and historical data from similar products, investigate requirements and establish plans for quality testing of special order products and establish and implement quality testing plans for standard products. Develop and implement quality plans as needed for components and sub-systems.* Supervise field technical service representative and assembly line quality inspector.  QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Successful candidate will have a BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering as well as a minimum of one year experience as a quality engineer, with a track record of successful assignments.
