      Established Northern KY Orthopaedic Practice neeeding a full time Financial Counselor to assist self pay & high deductible patients. Includes setting up payment plans (via ACH funds, Care Credit applications, etc).

Pre employment drug screen

 & post offer physical is required (paid for by company).

Requirements

• Minimum experience of 3-4 years in a medical office
• Stron customer service skills  
• Knowledge of health insurance companies & benefit coverages
• Medical insurance, billing & collections knowledge
•  Familiarity with CPT codes - able to use coding books
• Knowlede of current KY collection laws
•  HIPPA knowledge
• Current knowledge of filing requirements for state & federal assistance programs including Medicare & medicaid
• Resourcefullness
• Ability to mulit-task, organize & prioritize
